Gabriel Boghossian's Visionary Paintings
Gabriel Boghossian, born on January 13th, 1939, a decorator by profession and painter by vocation, after an artistic journey from real figurative to surrealism, today offers us a journey into the world of dreams, at the same time strange, illogical, crazy, or phantasmagorical.
Since 1960, Boghossian takes part in many exhibitions in France and abroad. But he also worked on the restoration of the parish church of ‘Saint-Anne des Cèdres’ in Algeria.
In fact, throughout his works exhibited at ArtLofter, fantastic and complex allegories emerge, compositions of real and unreal caricature hybrid characters, with many references to the dreams we all have during nights of deep sleep.
His universe is unique and fascinating. He builds and constructs on the ruins of the past. Each painting, made with meticulousness, awakens our imagination and takes us into an unreal world that is yet so real.
Often, his works are associated with surrealism, but they are actually closer to the visionary movement.
